Our 30th and final cardigan is an off-white, long sleeved cashmere cardigan from J. Crew that I've paired with a satiny brown and white patterned top. I'm in front of my closet, with my now empty cardigan shelf.
As cardigan month draws to a close, I look back and reflect on the past month and a half. What have I learned?
1. I have A LOT of cardigans. I didn't do a full count before I started this venture, and I'm actually kind of surprised that I had 30. And it's pretty serendipitous that I had exactly 30...
2. I look really good in cardigans.
3. I do not have the urge to buy new cardigans for a while - there were quite a few that I had forgotten about, a couple I had never worn, and some that I wish I could have worn again long before now.
4. Cardigans are extremely versatile. While I do not believe that everyone needs to own 30 cardigans (I am a librarian after all), I believe in investing in a few really nice cardigans, as they can be worn pretty much year round as a part of almost any outfit.
5. While I love cardigans, I am glad that I do not have to wear them every day now. I actually missed wearing other items in my wardrobe, and will try to do a better job of wearing more of the clothes I have in my closet instead of turning to the same few items over and over. But it was fun to come up with new outfits to fit the cardigan...
What's next? Hmmm.....I'm not sure I have enough of any other item of clothing to last an entire month. New challenge? We'll see....
Thanks to all of you who have been following my cardigan posts! I'll try to continue to post new content more regularly than I did before.
